I was lucky to see and record this pair of wolves in the upper peninsula of Michigan a few years ago near Pictured Rocks. I’ve been to many parts of the U.S and Canada in search of wolves  and have heard them howling many times but have only caught quick glances of them as they weave in and out of the brush. I painted this pair looking over their territory as night approaches.
